Employees Law Firm Expands Services – Fighting Vigorously to Protect Employees Rights

Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 30, 2011

The law firm of Employment Legal Team (ELT) (http://www.employmentlegalteam.com) announced today the opening of its flagship office in Washington, D.C. to meet the growing demand for exceptional, yet affordable, employment law legal services in the areas such as whistleblower actions, security clearance revocations, wrongful termination, employment discrimination, non-competitive promotions, disability retirement, workers’ compensation, and the Family Medical Leave Act.

According to Mr. Gilliard, A result of the Federal government’s belt-tightening is that agency managers now seek to reduce the rolls of vulnerable and older workers, and to reduce the needs for government contractors. This is taking place in an environment in which thousands of unemployed Americans are ready to take the job of someone terminated from private sector employment. We are ready and equipped to defend government employees and government contractor employees who are unfairly let go, older employees who have asked to retire because they supposedly “make too much,” and employees forced to choose between blowing the whistle on management or themselves taking the blame for management fraud, waste and abuse of authority.”

Mr. Gilliards representation of clients in a broad range of labor and employment matters includes an association with a government contracts litigation boutique where he provided legal services to corporate whistleblowers during Federal trial and appellate qui tam and commercial litigation against powerful corporations such as KBR, Halliburton Co., and Telef

The World Technology Network Announces the 2011 Finalists for the World Technology Awards

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 30, 2011

The World Technology Network (The WTN, http://www.wtn.net) announced today the names of the 50 corporate Finalists (in 10 categories) and 100 individual Finalists (in 20 categories) for the prestigious World Technology Awards. Presented by the WTN in association with TIME, Fortune, CNN, Science/AAAS, and Technology Review, the World Technology Awards have been called the Oscars of the technology world in part because of their peer-review selection process. The Finalists join the WTN membership — a roster of organizations (Corporate Members) and individuals (WTN Fellows) from over 60 countries around the world.

The World Technology Awards have been presented by the WTN since 2000, as a way to honor those in 20 different categories of science and technology and related fields doing the innovative work of the greatest likely long-term significance. Nominees for the 2011 World Technology Awards were selected through an intense process by the WTN Fellows (winners and finalists from previous annual Award cycles in the individual Award categories) through an intensive, global process lasting many months. Winners will be selected from among the finalists with the input of a select group of prominent Advisors and will be announced in a ceremony at the United Nations.

The Advisors for 2011 are:

Ray Kurzweil, inventor/futurist/author

Albert Teich, Director, Science and Policy Programs, American Association for the Advancement of Science/AAAS (retired, 2011)

Jason Pontin, Editor/Publisher, Technology Review

Lev Grossman, Senior Writer and book critic, TIME; co-author TIME.com blog “Techland”

The WTN is a curated membership community comprised of the worlds most innovative individuals and organizations in science, technology, and related fields. The WTN and its members those creating the 21st century — are focused on exploring what is imminent, possible, and important in and around emerging technologies.

The winners of the World Technology Awards will be announced during a ceremony at the United Nations on the evening of October 26th at the close of the World Technology Summit, a two-day thought leadership conference (Oct. 25/26) held at the TIME & LIFE Building and presented by the WTN in association with TIME magazine, Fortune, CNN, Science/AAAS, Technology Review, and others. Most of the delegates to the Summit will be 2011 Award nominees, current WTN members (winners and finalist from previous Awards cycles), as well as other leaders from business, technology, and industry.

“This year we are more eager than ever to pay tribute to the talent and innovation of our individual and corporate honorees.” says James P. Clark, Founder and Chairman of the World Technology Network. “Each year, this event gains momentum and prestige making it the ultimate global platform to honor visionary contributions in the science and technology arenas. Clark adds The World Technology Awards program is not only a very inspiring way to identify and honor the most innovative people and organizations in the technology world, but it also is a truly disciplined way for the WTN membership to identify those who will formally join them, as WTN Fellows and Corporate Members, as part of our global community. By working to make useful connections among our members, we look forward to assisting in continuing to help create our collective future and change our world.

About the World Technology Network

The WTN exists to “encourage serendipity” — the happy accidents of colliding ideas and new relationships that cause the biggest breakthroughs for individuals and institutions. The WTN works to accomplish its mission through global and regional events for its members and extended audience, to help make connections among them, and to examine the likely implications and possible applications of emerging technologies.
