1st Financial Center Reports New Year Resolutions Aim for Financial Success – 7 Tips to Improve Financial Awareness

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) January 11, 2012

With January being Financial Wellness Month, there is no better time to make the effort and become financially aware of any situation.

The road to a financial secure future and the one to distress are closer than one might think. Unfortunately, many people don’t realize they’re on the wrong path until it’s too late. The sooner consumers realize they’re having issues with debt, the better chance they have at resolving it and becoming financially secure for the future, states Chief Adviser with 1st Financial Center.

1st Financial Center recommends individuals to take the time to assess their situation and if three or more of the below signs are true, one may be heading for a financial down fall.

Panama Most Business-Friendly Country in the Americas

(PRWEB) November 02, 2011

(Source: InternationalLiving.com)

Panama is the most business-friendly country for expatriates anywhere in the Americas, a major new study from InternationalLiving.com has found.

When compiling its Business Index 2011, the publications researchers examined factors such as visa requirements, nancing, how easy it is to set up a bank account, local taxes, business expenses, infrastructure and the local business culture in seven business-friendly countries.

Information and ratings were gathered from InternationalLiving.coms network of overseas editors and in-country attorneys, while researchers also spoke with expat entrepreneurs who have established businesses in each of the nations examined in the index.

Our Business Index 2011 was a chance to take a cold, hard look at which countries on our beat are the most business friendly for expat entrepreneurs to set up shop in, InternationalLiving.com editor Eoin Bassett explained.

Panama topped the Business Index 2011, with the gateway nation scoring solidly across each of the eight categoriesAccess to Capital, Ease of Start-up, Market Opportunities, Future Outlook, Rents and Leases on Commercial Premises, Language, Business Infrastructure and Local Business Culture.

Research found that Panama, which uses the U.S. dollar as its official currency, also boasts strong consumerism, a growing bilingual workforce and a standard of infrastructure beyond what is seen elsewhere in the region.

Panama was our stand-out performer, added Bassett. Its government has set up a number of programs and special zones in order to attract foreign investors and business people.

He continued, Its not just an attractive place for big businessesPanama is a great option for expats looking to set up anything from a restaurant to an import-export business to a B&B.

While the downturn has made it more difficult to do business in many countries around the world, Panama has buffered itself against the slowdown thanks to a string of mega-projects like the $ 5 billion Panama Canal expansion.

English-speaking Belize came second in the Business Index 2011, with the Caribbean nation performing well in three out of eight categories: Ease of Language, Business Infrastructure, and Business Culture.

Ecuador, which recently claimed first place in Internationalliving.coms Retirement Index 2011, came in third.

FIRE-Big retirement facility fire/Grants Pass Oregon in 2003

This was a huge fire on Anderson between A & D. Some departments came from as far as 40 miles away. The second ladder truck was about 30 miles away. It went as well as could be expected. No lives were lost, No injuries were reported that I remember. Damage was in the millions. The building under construction was a soon to be retirement living center that was torched by a bored teenager (to summarize). It was all fuel. No suppression measures were in place yet (such as drywall, sprinklers, alarms, fire doors). As you can see GPFR attempted a trench cut on the roof of the occupied retirement center next door to keep the fire from spreading. But it didn’t hold. The fire had spread through the attic above the sprinkler system and destroyed the roof and much of the third floor. Both buildings had to be rebuilt from scratch. Both buildings were 3 stories high. Grants Pass Fire could muster around 8 on duty Firefighters and one or two interns at the time. Rural/Metro another 8 or so including officers. Reserves and call backs accounted for 15 to 25 more firefighters before a task force from Jackson County made it over later in the morning. So with the help of law enforcement an evacuation of the elderly next door was a priority early on. It turned out to be the right decision as you can see later in the video.
