Linda Moakler, the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing for Teknicks, participated in a New Jersey Technology Council (NJCT) panel discussion on social marketing and digital rights. Teknicks is a leading interactive enhancement agency located in Bay Head, NJ.

Social media provides a platform for companies to directly target their consumers, creating opportunities for one-on-one conversations between brand and consumer. This personal interaction has also lead to consumer fears about privacy, but according to Moakler, using a well established social marketing agency with ethical tactics, such as Teknicks, provides businesses with a long-term plan that allows the brand to engage the consumer in a way that does not become a burden, but instead develops a relationship that eventually leads to brand loyalty.

Williams Mullen announced today that Thomas R. Jolly has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Mr. Jolly is a member of Williams Mullens Federal Government Affairs Team in the firms Washington, D.C. office. He provides strategic and public affairs advice and counsel and assists clients in their efforts to affect public policy decisions that have an impact on their interests.

Mr. Jolly has represented corporate clients, professional and trade associations, educational institutions and domestic and foreign government entities before the United States Congress and Executive Branch of the Federal government for over 30 years.

Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Mr. Jolly was a Senior Democratic lobbyist and owner of a boutique lobbying firm. He has many years of experience working closely with the Democratic Leadership in the House and the Senate with the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and with the Democratic National Committee. In 1978, he became a partner in the Washington law and lobbying firm, OConnor and Hannan, and served on that firms executive committee. In 1996, he left the private practice of law to found the government and public relations firm of Jolly/Rissler, Inc.

He is the founding chairman of the Washington Caucus, a group that has conducted monthly dinner meetings with Members of Congress to discuss legislative issues and public policy for more than 30 years. Mr. Jolly previously served as Legislative Counsel to the late Representative William D. Ford and as Counsel to the House Subcommittee on Postsecondary Education.
