Kaleidoscope Welcomes New Researcher and Engineer to Strategic Product Develop and Design Team

Kaleidoscope Inc., a strategic product development and design firm, welcomes Ami Becker, PhD, Senior Design Researcher, and Jim Howes, MBA, Manager of Engineering and Quality Systems, to the Kaleidoscope team.
In her new role as Senior Design Research, Becker will continue to build Kaleidoscopes reputation as a premier design research firm. As researchers, we want to bring the greatest value to our partners and help them realize new opportunities, said Becker. That means involving research early and often in the project.
Becker brings 15 years of experience in human factors and user research in multiple industries, including health care, transportation and software development. She is well-versed in the study of usability, personas, and operator workload. Research offers an objective point of view, empathy for the user, and a different perspective to the table, resulting in project success, she added.
As Manager of Engineering and Quality Systems, Howes offers extensive background in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, management, and business strategy, all of which greatly complement Kaleidoscopes design offerings. The synergy of Kaleidoscopes research, design, interaction and engineering skills will translate into revolutionary solutions for our partners, said Howes. Howes brings a unique combination of business, engineering, and technology development expertise to the table.
